This is a new set of 24 colors, and will be packaged in numbered bags (1-24) for you to open daily if you want to participate in advent knitting this coming holiday season. The colors in this set will remain a mystery until you open your set (I won’t be posting any photos of what the set looks like until the very end of December at the earliest). This set is for 24 minis on your choice of bases and weights. If you want/need a full skein of contrast for your set, that will be available for purchase separately closer to the time that the advent sets ship 

The 24 colors in this set will be the inspired by one of my favorite films, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, a French musical from 1964 by Jaques Demy, starring Catherine Deneuve and Nino Castelnuovo 

This yarn palette will be a reflection of the fantastically colorful, bright and vibrant colors that resonate throughout the film; magentas, fuchsias, tangerine oranges, deep purples, and forest greens dominate the set design with some fabulous neutrals that are anything but boring when paired with these impossibly rich colors.

These sets are READY TO SHIP 

These 24 colors will be a mix of solids and semi-solids, and will be arranged in a way that looks nice in progression, but it won't necessarily be in a fade/gradient progression... 

Base & Weight Options:

  • John Merino: 100% sw merino, 87 yds/20g 

  • Charles Merino: 80% sw merino, 20% nylon, 80yds/20g

  • Bruce Yak Merino: 70% sw merino, 20% yak, 10% nylon, 87 yds/20g (PLEASE NOTE: this yak base is naturally brown rather than white, so all colors on this base will have a darker undertones)
  • Robert Tweed Fingering: 85% sw merino, 15% NEP (nylon bits); 435 yds/100g
  • Bugga (fingering): 70% sw merino, 20% cashmere, 10% nylon, 93yds/25g  
  • Bruce Yak Silk DK: 65% sw merino, 20% silk, 15% yak; 231 yds/100g
