Baltain Mohair Set #10
The beautiful Baltain Sweater by Boyland Knitworks was released yesterday, and I'm obsessed! The pattern uses two half skeins of mohair lace for color work that looks a bit like a watercolor impression, and between 2-4 skeins of fingering weight yarn as the body of the batwing shaped sweater.
In looking over the test knits for this pattern, the color work choices that I liked best created a soft and subtle impression of color work, rather than a stark contrast between the color work and the main color yarn used for the body of the sweater.
I've paired sets of two half skeins of mohair into sets that are subtle shades and will be lovely for the color work section of this pattern. I've also got suggestions for main color yarns to work with each set, but I'm making the mohair sets separate from the main color suggestions, so you can choose your main color from my suggestions or from your own stash yarn...
The main color suggestions are available in separate listings, and are: Naked Bruce Yak Merino, Fuzzy Bunny Beatrix Alpaca Silk, Naked Robert Tweed, and Frosted Pine on Dragon Sock
Please note that the Baltian Sweater pattern is NOT included in this purchase, and must be purchased separately through the Ravelry link I've put at the top of this listing.
