Holiday Surprise Stripes, Polar Opposites Stripes; Option #1 - Ready to Ship

I KNOW that July is a bit early to begin thinking about Christmas, much less Christmas gift lists, but July and August is when my prep and plotting for fall happen, and with all the in person shows that happen in September and October, the time for me to do my dyeing for Christmas is NOW!!!

Here's a chance to make things super easy come Christmas time, whether you are forwarding this listing on to a loved one, or taking this opportunity to TREAT YOURSELF!!! I've come up with  12 (!!!) different and NEW self striping yarns that you can ponder and forward to family and friends as a subtle (or not at all subtle) hint of what you want for Christmas this year.

Each of these listings will be shipped in late November/early December, and will be a WRAPPED GIFT, so you won't see the yarn until you open the wrapped box inside your package.

Each of this years listings are self striping yarns inspired by the photos in each listing. There are six different skeins of 6 color stripes (4-6 rows per color) and there are six different skeins of Polar Opposites stripes (1-2 rows of one color and 4-5 rows of the other color, then the reverse color sequence for the other half skein). For the Polar Opposites, three will be speckled and solid, and three will be mottled and layered colors, without speckles. 

If you purchase more than one self holiday Surprise Stripes skein, I will do my best to combine shipping to help save on shipping costs where I'm able. Every skein will be individually wrapped, unless you ask via email for the skeins to NOT be wrapped up (but where's the fun in that?)

This listing is for approx 100g of self-striping sock yarn, in my Polar Opposites stripes, where you have thick and think stripes of about 1-2 rows of one color and 4-5 rows of the other color, and the other half skein is the reverse stripe sequence. The yarn will be in 2 half skeins of approx. 50g each, which is perfect for sock or mitts knitting. There is an option with each listing for a contrast 20g mini to use for hells/cuffs/toes

For this Polar Opposite color, BOT of the stripes will be solid layered colors

Base Yarn Choices:

Charles Merino: 80% sw merino, 20% nylon; 200 yds/50g & 400 yds/100g  (plus optional 80 yds/20g contrast mini)

William Merino: 75% sw merino, 25% nylon; 230 yds/50g & 460 yds/100g (plus optional 93 yds/20g contrast mini)

Bruce Yak Merino:  (this base is naturally silver taupe, so every color dyed on this base will look darker than on the other two base options! 70% sw merino, 20% yak, 10% nylon; 217 yds/50g & 435 yds/100g (plus optional 87 yds/20g contrast mini)
