This is a new set of 24 colors, and is packaged in numbered bags (1-24) for you to open daily if you want to participate in advent knitting this coming holiday season. The colors in this set will remain a mystery until you open your set (I won’t be posting any photos of what the set looks like until the very end of December at the earliest). This set is for 24 minis on your choice of bases and weights. If you want/need a full skein of contrast for your set, that will be available for purchase separately closer to the time that the advent sets ship 

The 24 colors in this set will be the inspired by song lyrics from the Tortured Poets Department album

This set will be introspective and moody, washed with despair, heartbreak, and flashes of rage. (Roughly translated, you can expect a lot of layered neutrals with flashing shocks of color washed in greys and blacks…) if you are familiar with my previous TS inspired sets, this one will complete the cycle. Folklore and Evermore were solid colors that all had a vintage, folksy vibe and worked well together.  Midnights took some of the colors from the previous two sets and washed them with layers of angst and sleepless nights. Poets will be something again altogether different while also being complementary to the Midnights set. You can look forward to angst ridden smudges of coal and ash, splattered tears on journal pages, shouts of anger in the dark, and ultimately a set of colors that will be a bit unexpected and pretty cool. 

These sets are READY TO SHIP 

These 24 colors will be a mix of semi-solids, overdyes, and layered colors, and possibly some splattered and speckled colors, and will be arranged in a way that looks nice in progression, but it won't necessarily be in a fade/gradient progression or in the same song order as the album...

  • Bruce Yak Merino: 70% sw merino, 20% yak, 10% nylon, 87 yds/20g (PLEASE NOTE: this yak base is naturally brown rather than white, so all colors on this base will have a darker undertones)
  • William Merino DK: 75% sw merino, 25% nylon; 49 yds/20g
  • Oscar Sparkle: 75% sw merino, 20% nylon, 5% sparkle; 87 yds/20g
